Here at Pearce Guitars, as with the acoustic guitars, I like to do things a little differently. Half your fun will be making your choices... making it yours!

To explore the options and purchase a Pearce Bass:

1

Browse our Example Bass Builds to get some ideas of what I can do

2

Browse our Current Woods to see what we have in the workshop right now. If we don't have what you want, just ask

3

Get in touch to explore the options and spec up your one off. Wood, colour, pickups, neck, tuners... its down to you! Top your design off with a unique Inlay.

Please read on to discover more about the construction techniques and hardware that every Pearce Electric Guitar is made up of.

I hope that his will give you a feel for the possibilities, the combinations of wood, colour and tone that we can achieve. That's before you let your imagination loose on the inlays!

We've tried to give you a good feel for the possibilities, combined with zoom images of the current stocks of woods that we have in the workshop. If you feel that you need to see it closer, or at a different angle or light, just ask using the contact us page.

Body Shape

When it comes to body shape, you can let your imagination loose!

I make all my bass guitars by hand, so the shape chioce is down to you. You can start with a shape that suits you and make some subtle changes to make it fit you better.

On the other side of the scale... create a one off! As you can see from our Red Bull Project almost anything is possible and this applies to bass guitars just as much to to lead electrics.

 Colours

After choosing your wood, you can pick from many different colours. We can match your choice exactly.

Here are some of the possibilities. Click on the thumbnails to get a closer look. These samples are non-lacquered and REALLY shimmer when finished as you can see in the blue Les Paul image above.

Pickups

For your pickups, you are really free to choose whatever brand and configurations that works best for you. Typically, I use Setmour Duncan or Armstrong hand wound pickups.

In creating your custom bass, I'll source and fit whatever you want. Other options include pickups from Dimarzo and Bare Knuckle Pickups.

Hardware

gotohbridge Typically, I use Gotoh hardware for the simple reason that its the best. Again however, if you have spotted something special and want it incorporating into your guitar, I can help you source it.
